Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas all!
Thank you all for being a part of our lives. We love our family and friends dearly and miss those that we don’t see often enough. We are still tweaking this blog. Trying to find ways to make it easier to share more in our hectic day to day, and our lazy slacker [...]

A word on Twitter.

Yes, it can be THE most obnoxious thing in the world. But it can also be a great way to keep in touch and feel like you are closer than you are. So here’s the deal. Don’t be afraid of Twitter, and if you want to get on the wagon and keep up with the [...]

And the Hilarity Continues!

Elijahs new favorite game has to do with a shower and a cup of cold water. I’m not sure how it began but now every time he takes a shower he asks for cup after cup of cold water which he will spill on himself and proceed to crack up. The game can not end [...]

Hello, it’s me, your blog “October 27th.” I just wanted you to know I am feeling very lonely out here in the blogsphere watching all the other blogs zip past me with new and interesting information while I sit and dangle my legs in space, twiddling my dots and dashes, just waiting for someone, ANYONE, [...]

Alert.

I’m just letting everyone know that the next time you see Ijah he may be close to invisible because he doesn’t eat. I tell him a baby can’t live off milk and fruit alone and he scowls at me as he shoved another peach in his mouth.

Pepople watching.

iJah and I did a playground tour today, two lakes, two playgrounds. We had lunch on the road and just swan through the humidity. I notice a few things. He watches the other kids, but wont run right up to them. He observes the crowd rather than working in it. He shares when someone is [...]

I'm a sucker.

Knowing that where there is candy there is drama I still can’t help but let Ijah take a sucker when he is offered one at the store…I have the same thing with balloons.
After explaining to him that no, she wasn’t giving him the whole basket, Ijah grabbed a nice red sucker for the ride home.
Now [...]

So it begins…

Elijah and I have diverged. For the most part he’s as much a dad-clone as any dad can hope for, but we’ve begun to have differences that are currently amusing and which will eventually be, well, bigger.
Elijah likes to dance. This has been well documented. But he’s starting to choose music that I’m not a [...]

Busy with stuff.

Ijah is getting to that age where he is more apt to play with stuff the “right” way…for example, crayons and cardboard boxes…
Now if I could pry him off my leg and get him to eat we’d be having real fun
