So it begins…

Elijah and I have diverged.  For the most part he’s as much a dad-clone as any dad can hope for, but we’ve begun to have differences that are currently amusing and which will eventually be, well, bigger. Elijah likes to dance.  This has been well documented.  But he’s starting to choose music that I’m not [...]

The rib bone is connected to…

We’ve been busy. A one-year-old leaves very little time for the things we were used to doing.  This was made abundantly clear during our recent WEEKEND OFF!!!! (Thanks Mom).  More on that some other time maybe.  But we had a great time and realized that we’d neglected many other areas of our life including here.  [...]

We've moved

Amanda and I finally moved into what is an (obviously) incomplete but far more comfortable home on WordPress.  We’ll be doing a lot of cleaning and remodeling but for now I just wanted to say hey and all that yahoo.  If you were subscribed to the site at our old home you may want to [...]

Mergers and Acquisitions

Elijah’s new skills are appearing at an alarming rate these days.  I remember “back in the day” when we could sit and watch him do _________ for hours or days and talk about how great it was that he learned _________ so quickly.  Now he’s going through skills like diapers and piling on two or [...]

Baby food

Watching a baby eat was never something I enjoyed.  I’ve never been a person who found messy food faced babies cute.  Even with Elijah it can be a study in patience and just being present.  But thinking that he’s learning how to eat makes that all go away.
