This blog may be a little end-loaded this week while we get caught up. We’ve discovered that actually taking care of a newborn (and ourselves) leaves very little time for writing about taking care of a newborn (and ourselves). We’re getting there.
Ijah made it through his first doctor’s appointment relatively unscathed. He went there cranky and hungry but did OK considering. We’re both fans of his pediatrician which made the visit better for us. All he really wanted was boob and to not be poked. I did learn a few things:
Hiccups can be caused by being too cold
Babies sneeze when they are stressed
Ijah does stop crying (briefly) when he’s handed back to Amanda or I from a stranger
He has a really cute butt
So we’re back in two months to get him shot up with immunizations. I’ve got some research to do in advance of that.

This ends my report.
